Tiki has its own
shorthand.

TikiWiki marks text with its own symbols: a leading ! for a heading, doubled underscores for bold and single quotes for italic. This converter rewrites the core inline formatting and bullet lists into Markdown and leaves tables, numbered lists and plugins as raw text.
